OUR DUAL MISSION:
SYNERGY  I CLIMATE JUSTICE

JCPOFEST is committed to celebrating contemporary poetry and fostering a vibrant community around this art form. We work to spotlight renowned writers, celebrate emerging poets, and welcome poetry enthusiasts and students interested in the written word. We foster innovative, multimedia and thought provoking projects that enhance our appreciation for the art of poetry.

At the heart of our mission is exploring the SYNERGY between poetry, music, theater, dance, and other forms of artistic expressions while introducing our audiences to the dynamic poetry and art scene that exists in this city.

JCPOFEST aims to cultivate community while focusing on the effects of human activity on the natural world. The festival aims to create a space for free expression and dialogue on global issues such as CLIMATE JUSTICE, climate change, its effects and sustainability. As modern poets serve as witnesses to these challenges, we will be seeking out works that highlight urgent social and ecological issues while advocating for preservation and conservation efforts.
